Manufacturing Technologies Manager

The Manufacturing Technologies Manager takes the lead in guiding the coordination and governance of all manufacturing equipment and processes within the EMEIA manufacturing plants. This individual has a key coordinating and supporting function, actively collecting information and providing strategic counsel on new technology developments and crucial investments. He/she acts as the voice of EMEIA manufacturing, building the bridge between all EMEIA plants and the Global Manufacturing Technologies department.

Looking for a coordinating and supporting function in a global environment?

  • As key-contact within the EMEIA region concerning manufacturing equipment and processes, you gather information and provide advice on new technology developments and required investments. You advise management on improvements.
  • You thrive in a matrix organization, collaborating with EMEIA plants and global project teams. This role requires diplomacy to build relationships and the assertiveness to represent our region in the global organization.
  • You safeguard that all new manufacturing developments are in line with the BAC global strategy.
  • You collect all investment requests from the EMEIA plants, set out a priority list and provide advice towards the BAC management.
  • Coordination of cost-outs (actions to reduce labour, overhead and material costs) within the EMEIA region.
  • You stimulate global networking within all BAC plants so successful cost reductions can be shared worldwide.
  • You coordinate the Regional NPI ( New Products Innovation ) Manufacturing involvement in the global NPI project teams. You assign resources, ensure launch activities in the EMEIA plants are well supported and act as ‘the voice of EMEIA’ to Global Manufacturing

Profile

A thorough understanding of lean manufacturing, process flows and budgeting?

  • You combine a Technical Master degree with relevant working experience within (preferably) a manufacturing environment.
  • You can express yourself fluently in Dutch and English, as well written as spoken. Knowledge of other languages is an advantage but not a must.
  • Constantly gathering knowledge of new technological developments which influence our business and decisions impacting equipment and materials, is one of your strengths.
  • Thanks to strong project management and communication skills, you can lead & coordinate multiple projects and motivate international cross-functional teams.
  • You lead a team of 2 production engineers located in Heist o/d Berg offices who support manufacturing projects and NPI activities in the EMEIA plants.
  • You have excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills. You can multi-task and work both rapidly and efficiently.
  • You like working independently but seek the necessary input from others. stakeholders and involved parties when necessary.
  • Travelling regularly is necessary within this role. (30%)
