KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER

Green Hydrogen

As part of our Regional Business Development team, you will focus on the strategically important and fast-growing markets for BAC. Through focusing on these markets and building strategic partnerships you are responsible for developing new customer and partnership opportunities and building a robust customer pipeline. In this role you will work closely across all BAC regions and third party consultants and will report directly to the Director of Business Development – EMEIA.

Are you a growth-oriented and dynamic manager who is relentless at beating the competition?

  • Your main responsibility is to drive BAC’s business in high growth markets. This by supporting the regional and global business development organization by collaborating and creating value together. You work closely with customers and existing regional BAC sales teams to deliver outstanding customer outcomes. You maintain a key account target list and organize regional account strategies and activities for these targets.
  • The Key Account Manager will act as the main point of contact between key clients and international teams. By developing a thorough understanding of key client needs and requirements, you prepare customized solutions. You negotiate contracts and meet established deadlines for the fulfillment of each client’s long-term goals.
  • You build strategic business partnerships and alliances to enhance BAC’s position in the industry. This includes key accounts, relevant design consultants, EPC companies and contractors. You also effectively network with existing regional leadership teams, including direct sales/channel partners, business development resources, application management and operations teams to enhance the execution of the high-growth vertical segment.
  • In identifying the market potential, as well as observation and analysis of the market and competition, you are able to create a target customer strategy. You develop proposals and presentations for new business materials to create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships. To the executive leadership you provide industry feedback around trends and customer needs, as well as updates on competitive offerings and generate business development ideas.
  • You actively participate in events and fairs where you present as a subject matter expert. Travelling will approximately be about 40% (domestic and international). On non-travel days we are expecting a maximum presence at our HQ in Belgium.

Profiel

Collaborative person who can influence both with and without authority?

  • You combine a Master’s degree in Sales or Marketing, preferably with an MBA or advanced degree.
  • You have a strong track record of success with a minimum of 5 years of experience in key account or sales management in an international manufacturing industry and experience in working in the EPC sector.
  • Given your experience with delivering client-focused solutions, you are able to express technical and non-technical concepts and solutions clearly and concisely and are also able to articulate a strong value proposition at both executive and engineering level.
  • Due to your demonstrated experience in global matrix organizations you are able to influence others in the organization with no direct reporting relationship. You lead by example and foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork, locally, regionally and on an international level.
  • You are able to motivate and negotiate effectively with multiple stakeholder groups to take the desired action, solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations.
  • You can express yourself fluently in English, as well written as spoken. Knowledge of other languages, such as Dutch, French and German are an advantage.
  • You must have strong Microsoft Office Suite experience and collaboration tool experience (Teams, Zoom, Mural, Miro, etc…)
  • You like working independently but seek the necessary input from other stakeholders and involved parties when necessary.
  • Even in difficult situations, you function efficiently and respond effectively to changes or problems.
  • You’re a dynamic personality with high ethical standards, process driven and always seeking improvements.
  • You can express yourself fluently in English, as well written as spoken. Knowledge of other languages, such as Dutch, French and German are an advantage.
